Thick Buttermilk Rejuvenation

Buttermilk is more effective than milk or curd in certain illnesses.

If one desires to rejuvenate by thick buttermilk, one should only use the milk of a cow. A mixture of three-fourths of curd with one-fourth water makes delicious buttermilk.

For treatment, thick buttermilk should be made 3-4 times from fresh curd 3-4 times daily.

Thick buttermilk is delicious, light and warm. It kindles gastric fire, is sweet and digestive. It helps to digest fried items, sweets and other heavy items.

Thick buttermilk made of skim-milk is nearly devoid of fat.

Other contents are as follows:

  • Protein 3.2-3.4 %
  • Lactose 4.6-5.2 %
  • Lactic acid 0.5-1.1 %
  • Calcium 0.12-0.14 %
  • Phosphorus 0.09-0.1 %
  • Iron 0.2-0.3%

It also contains magnesium, potassium, sodium, chlorine, sulphur and other salts in small proportion. It contains Vitamin ‘B2’ 30mg/100mg and Vitamin ‘A’ in small quantity.

Method of taking thick buttermilk for rejuvenation

Thick buttermilk should not be sour.

Same methods for taking milk-cure apply for taking thick buttermilk.One who decides to take thick buttermilk to cure minor disorders need not do any pre-planning.

One can begin the regimen of thick buttermilk.

Firstly, the patient should resort to 3 days. But in chronic diseases, the patient can pre-plan to get maximum benefits out of the thick buttermilk regimen First of all, the patient should nature-cure to check the disease.

Then get his or her body cleansed by observing fast or juice-fast for about 4 days.

The patient should begin taking thick buttermilk on the 5th day. As the chart shows thick butter milk should be taken every 2 hours:

Note from the 7th day thick buttermilk should be taken at intervals of 1½ hours instead of 2. Also from the 11th day buttermilk should be taken at intervals of 1 hour instead of 1½ hours.

From the 14th day, the patient should take thick butter milk at intervals of 45 minutes and 16 times a day.

Thick butter milk should not be taken in noon time. This order should be continued for 30 days.

Start first dose at 7 a.m. till 7 p.m. Neither sugar nor salt should be added for taste.

Conclusion of the regimen of thick buttermilk

The patient should take thick buttermilk 6 times, only for the first half of the day, on the day when the regimen is to be concluded.

In the afternoon, he or she should take fruits of vegetables or whole fruits containing minimum quantity of fibers.

The same quantity of thick buttermilk should be taken on the second day but at noon he or she should take fruits and steamed veggies.

On the third day, he should take thick buttermilk in the morning, at noon and in the evening-three times only. Fruits or steamed vegetables should be taken during intervals. From the fourth day, he should begin taking a small quantity of cooked food.

Gradually normal diet will return.

Hints

During the regimen of thick buttermilk, it’s possible one may suffer from minor ailments e.g. gum swelling, body ache, constipation or diarrhea.

At times, the patient will feel feverish but in such cases one should stop taking thick buttermilk for a day or two and fast. When temperature returns to normalcy, one should resume the regimen.

Increase in amount of perspiration and urine will be noticed which is nothing to worry about.

Diseases in which thick buttermilk regimen is useful

It vitalizes, strengthens and activates the digestive organs thus good for abdominal disorders and dysentery.

It is efficient in skin-diseases, piles, dropsy, asthma, arthritis, diabetes and other diseases.

In summary thick buttermilk is far superior than other forms of remedies. It is simple and harmless to cleanse the body, expel hostile elements and for body rejuvenation.
