Delesia Restaurante’
Wish I'd discovered this place earlier When I was first told about Delesia restaurant by a friend not much clicked about the place until I paid it a visit. Located right in the middle of the central business district, Delesia restaurant has over the recent past proven to be one eatery to reckon with. Right from the entrance you are immediately struck by the sheer serenity of the place, the ambiance of this restaurant is quite warm and traditional, reflecting a sense of hospitality and generosity of the African people.
Its wide array of nutritious African food has made it to be a popular meeting joint especially for most of the working class individuals who want to have a closer feel of home.
The service is efficient, quick and all smiles, which helps you enjoy the place better. If you want a full meal then the specials of the day will take you through a set meal of three courses, all well balanced, with fresh ingredients and quality of home - cooked lunch/dinner. Their menu is slim but it has something for everyone. Even vegetarians are moderately taken care of with curry, 'mukimo'. Being a more traditional restaurant, there is nothing new in terms of cuisine but whatever they do make is well made and with old - world precision. I was a little reluctant to order the smoked chicken listed under majors. However, it turned out perfect. My friend's fried fish wasn't that great though. It's a pity that I discovered this little gem of restaurant the other day yet I have spent most of my life time in Nairobi, Kenya when it comes to eating out. But better late than never.
