Grape Juice
Grapes are considered the noblest of all fruits with preventative properties against cancer. They grow in much more quantity than most fruits. They grow on vines which creep on and along pre-made bowers. Grapes are in green, black and violet colors. They are in different sizes and shapes with small ones being seedless whereas larges ones having seeds.
Qualities Grapes are sweet,stimulative,soothing,regimen,beneficial to the throat,hair,skin and eyes and acts as an appetizer. They decrease gastric acidity. Grapes help a great deal in retaining youth and preventing old age. They are nutritive and preventive for wasting diseases. Raw grapes contain lots of acid and less of sugar but on ripening the sugar amount increases considerably. The sugar is almost formed by glucose. The glucose proportion in grapes is much more in grapes in comparison to fruits of equal weight. In certain grapes varieties the sugar content shoots up to 50%. The glucose is a predigested sugar in grapes and is easily absorbed by the body. Contrary to the scanty iron content in grapes it is easily assimilated thus very useful in anaemia. Investigations show 300 ml of grape-juice can successfully combat anaemia. Malic, citric and tartaric acids in grapes purify blood and stimulate bowel activity as well as the kidneys.
Uses Grapes can be taken in their natural form but pure grape-juice has greater medicinal value. Sufficient amounts can be taken only in juice form.Benefits If taken on a daily basis they are very good for relieving constipation. They give relief in piles. They have a soothing effect on excessive secretion of bile and burning stomach sensations. Grape-juice brings good results to patients suffering from general weakness, debility, stagnated weight, dryness of skin, dimness of sight and burning sensation in the body. Grapes cure cancer Here's an amazing example of a determined and will-powered woman who conquered cancer with grape-fruit diet. Mrs. Johanna Brandt, at her young age, developed severe abdominal pain. She tried from domestic remedies to modern medicines with no success. After a visit to the hospital she was diagnosed with cancer. She was advised on taking an operation but she refused as she had previously met other operated patients who got worse. She was also aware of the futility of radiotherapy and medicines. Fortunately she came across a book ‘Fasting Cure’ by Dr. Upton Sinclair. The book inspired her to follow nature-cure. She did multiple short fasts at home. She took food at intervals and resumed fasting. The battle for life lasted for 9 years. During every fast tumor stopped growing but did not totally disappear. After 9 years, another X-ray was taken which showed the tumor had split into two. Doctors advised her to undergo an operation. She refused again and continued fasting. The Grape Cure - If the disease is diagnosed as cancer through biopsy or symptoms, the patient at first should get his body cleansed through nature-cure treatment.
For that he or she should undertake a 2-3 days’ fast and drink plenty of water. If he suffers from constipation enema should be used. A glass or two of cold water should be drunk in the early morning on the day the grape treatment starts. Then 30 minutes later grape-juice should be taken. The first intake of grape juice should be at 8 a.m. Grape juice should be taken every 2 hours or 7 times during the day till 8 p.m. 50-100 ml of grape-juice should be taken each time. The quantity of the next intake should be gradually increased such that during the whole day 5-6 litres of grape-juice is taken by the time of completion of 1 week. This should be continued for a week or two. If it proves conducive prolong for one to two months. As grapes don’t provide full body nourishment it is not recommended to continue treatment for a very long time.
- In the second stage, other fruits should be added to the diet of grape-juice for one to two months.
- In the third stage, in addition to juices, fruits, vegetables, sprouted grains, sprouted pulses and other such raw food should be taken. One undergoing grape-cure should not eat cooked for 6 months.
- The fourth stage commences after 6 months. A limited quantity of cooked food, according to individual capacity to digest, should be taken with grapes, salad and other fruits.
Complete rest is essential during the period of treatment. Many reactions take place that patient should be mentally prepared for e.g. diarrhea. In such a case grape-juice quantity should be reduced or fasting should be observed for a day or two. When diarrhea is cured treatment should be resumed.If patient suffers from catarrh, slightly warm grape-juice should be taken.
