Barbacued mutton kababs

by Hellen
(Embakasi, Nairobi)

I decided to try something that did not resemble my boring cook-on-the-fly foods when I came across this recipe. I tend to think am more of chef than the rest of my family.
-Minced 1kg mutton
-4 tiny chopped onions
-3 green finely chopped chillies
-A pinch of red hot chilli powder
-1 tbsp coriander powder
-4 tbsp bread crumbs
-A little oil
-A little bread crumbs
-Salt
First mix all the ingredients except the oil, obviously, in a bowl. Put it in the fridge for 20 min or so. Divide the mix into equal sizes and form to balls. With some skewers spear each meatball on to its own spear and you spread it smoothly along the skewer. Grill it on high heat then brush with the oil for some minutes.
I ate this with my family who were utterly amazed with my cooking skills. I sure gave my 'BIG' sisters a run for their money.
